Why Hire a Behavioral Health Copywriter?

Why should you hire an experienced behavioral health/mental health  copywriter?  Do you really want to educate the copywriters you hire? Do you want to hire two or more copywriters to meet your copy needs? Or do you want a copywriter who can write an array of copy projects? Do you want a copywriter who will work with you on your marketing strategy?

I am Nora King, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and copywriter. Most recently, I trained and was Verified with American Writers & Artists, Inc. (AWAI) to develop the copywriting skills I offer you here. This service builds on my prior training at the University of Southern California (USC).

I have been licensed to practice counseling since 1998 in Tennessee and since 1999 in Virginia. I worked in the home health industry while in the Nashville Tennessee region and it was there that I developed an interest in behavioral health/mental health.  I then moved to the Greeneville/Bristol/Kingsport/Johnson City region when a job opened in Greeneville.

I moved back to my home state of Virginia in 2001 when a counseling opportunity opened at the local community services board. I worked there for almost 14 years. While there I learned much about the needs of the chronically mentally ill, their families/caregivers, and about chronic medical illness and substance dependence. As a counselor I worked with individuals, groups, and families. I also took on case management responsibilities.

What Does This Mean for You?

It is this multi-layered first-hand experience that I bring to my career as a copywriter. It is this experience that makes me your go-to copywriter.  This is the reason I established behavioralhealthcopy, this because I understand the behavioral health/mental health industry.

Specifically, my interest is in meeting the B2B needs of the behavioral health/mental health industry.  Advocates for the severely mentally ill wear many hats. We are the buyers and sellers of treatment facilities, providers of  medical services, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, insurance, furniture, educational materials, to name just a few.

Challenges come from different directions. There are the needs of the identified client and their social network. There is politics, policy, procedures, and mandates of third-party payers and regulatory authorities.

As you know, it takes the efforts of formal and informal caregivers to assist the chronically mentally ill person to remain in the least-restrictive environment. Just as it takes a village to meet the needs of individuals, B2B companies and organizations work together to meet collective goals. It is this collaboration between advocates like us that make it work.

Your project will need many types of copy as you create and market your products and services. Gather your key marketing staff and consider the scope of your project before you launch your product or service. And then refer to the Services page.

What project are you working on? I want to assist you and your company or organization as you work toward your marketing goals.
